    Safe-Guard Pelleted Dewormer

    Fenbendazole 5 gm per kg (2.27g per pound) Alfalfa-based pellets. For use in beef and dairy cattle. For use in all horses and ponies (including pregnant mares, stallions, and foals).

    Is your dewormer working? Take the Fecal Egg Count Reduction Test (FECRT) to determine if there is potential parasite resistance with your current dewormer. Talk to your veterinarian abou the efficacy of your dewormer.

    Safe-Guard Pelleted Dewormer is a 1-day treatment for cattle.

    Safe-Guard Pelleted Dewormer in cattle controls:

    • lungworms
    • stomach worms
    • intestinal worms
    • bankrupt worms
    • nodular worms

    Use as a top dressing on feed at the rate of 1 lb for each 1,000 lb of body weight.

    Important Safety information: Consult your local veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasitism.
    Residue Warnings: Cattle must not be slaughtered within 13 days following last treatment. For dairy cattle, there is no milk withdrawal period.

    DAIRY AND BEEF CATTLE DOSAGE

    5 mg fenbendazole per kg body weight in a one (1) day treatment (2.27 mg fenbendazole per pound of body weight).

    Feed for one (1) day. No prior withdrawal of feed or water necessary. When feed containing Safe-Guard has been fed for 1 day, a total intake of 2.27 mg fenbendazole per pound of body weight is assured.

    Under conditions of continued exposure to parasites, retreatment may be needed after 4-6 weeks.

    Also used in horses to aid in the control of:

    • large & small strongyles
    • pinworms
    • ascarids

    Feed 1 lb pkg to 1000 lb horse in one feeding (with daily ration).
